My mom painted the exterior of my childhood home when she was pregnant with me. Apparently, that’s why I have the birthmark that runs down the back of my neck. I didn’t have a single clue about it until someone pointed it out, 13 years later. Is being an artist my true calling? I don’t know. Yet, I’d like to think of it as my ‘brushmark’.
